Our School Yeniçağa Culinary High School
Our school, Yeniçağa Culinary High School, has been training cooks since 2008. Our goal is to graduate highly-skilled and motivated young people as resourceful chefs. Graduates we have trained for this purpose continue to cook in many tourism cities like Istanbul, Antalya, Muğla, London, Paris, Barcelona and Dubai.
Every year, about 80 students are accepted to our school. In addition to cooking classes, foreign language and general knowledge lessons are given to these students. Our students learn the presentation and service techniques of Turkish Cuisine and other world cuisines through applications. In our school, which has 4 kitchens and 1 service/bar application area, 60 students can practice simultaneously.
In addition to the applications in our school, our students serve their internships at two summer sessions in Turkey's largest hotel and organizations. During the internship that lasts for 4.5 months between May 2nd and September 15th, our students experience the cooking profession under the administration of our school. Our school is involved in many national and international projects. "Raw Food Applications in Europe" in 2019
and "Super Grains Healthy Foods" in 2020 are the Erasmus+ projects prepared by our school and accepted by the Turkish National Agency.
Thanks to these projects, we carried out very productive events with our partners in various European cities. Apart from our own projects, we also took part in different Erasmus+ projects as partners and participants.
Our school is also very active in e-Twinning projects. Our teachers, particularly English, are quite experienced in e-Twinning projects.
Our project team has a corporate structure consisting of our school's vice principal, English teachers, vocational teachers and students.
In addition to the application areas, our school has a Practice Hotel, a Practice Restaurant and a dormitory for 180 students.
The Yeniçağa Culinary High School Family, which exists to prepare the future, is ready for all kinds of cooperation for education with its 280 students, 25 teachers, 6 managers and 14 assistant staff.
